Neal Holliday – B.Sc, B.Eng, FIPTA

Neal Holliday has an Honours degree in Engineering (Electronics) and a Bachelor degree in Science (Physics) from the University of Western Australia. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia and is registered to practice in both Australia and New Zealand.

Neal’s areas of expertise are in the fields of mechanical, electronic and electrical engineering, information technology, business methods and telecommunications. Neal also has wide experience in the preparation and prosecution of Trade Mark applications.

He has worked previously in Australia and Asia for international telecommunications companies and has industry experience in a range of engineering design and construction projects.

Barry Newman – B.Sc, B.Eng, FIPTA

Barry Newman has an Honours Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) and a Bachelor degree in Science (Mathematics) from the University of Western Australia. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia, and is registered to practice in both Australia and New Zealand.

Barry’s main practice is in the mining, oil-and-gas, and automotive sectors, with clients including household names in these areas. He has a particular interest in ‘Clean’ technologies, and has been published internationally on patent issues relating to global warming.

Prior to becoming a Patent Attorney, Barry worked as a mechanical engineer in the West Australian mining sector. His experience included both open cut and underground mining activities as well as process plant operations.
